Aquarium of the Pacific

Last Friday we had the opportunity to take my sister Emily and her husband Doug down to Long Beach. They were leaving on a Cruise to Ensenada. Anywho, they asked us if we could take them since we'd been down there before. Well, after we dropped them off we decided to hang out down there. At first we were going to take a tour of the Queen Mary, but we decided against that because the Aquarium of the Pacific was right up the street! Yay! I had been wanting to go there for quite a while now. So we decided to go. It was a nice little aquarium with a bunch of different fish everywhere. We got to pet jellyfish, sharks, and a type of ray (I don't remember what kind if was, oh well). It was a nice little trip. Sorry about the pics! They were with my phone camera and didn't come out very well...

Me petting the jellyfish...just like Finding Nemo, only on the top...

Jacob and Kori (Kori loved all of the fish, she kept pointing and talking to them!) The other pic is of the sharks and rays we were able to pet. Jacob was chicken at first, but I convinced him that he needed to.

The ray we were able to pet, and the shark we pet also! Just kidding! They were in a separate tank next to the petting tank...

The pic on the left is still the shark tank. It had a bunch of different kind of sharks in it. It was cool looking. The other pics are the birds that everyone was able to feed. The were cool looking and very friendly (as long as you had the sweet nectar!)

All in all it was a fun adventure. Now I can say I've been there.
