A New Member of the Solis Clan...

This past Sunday, I was surprised by my wonderful husband to find out we were going to get a new addition to our family.
A NEW PUPPY! I think she's a Pit Bull / Bullmastiff Mix.
Rose & Mark know a guy who was trying to get rid of a few more puppies that weren't getting sold, so they asked Jacob if we wanted to have one. And surprisingly he said YES! I can't believe he actually agreed to getting another dog! You don't know how excited I was. If any of you know me I love dogs. They had told Jacob that we might be getting a male, but luckily we got a female instead! Jacob said it was an early Valentine's Day present. I'm so lucky to have a husband like Jacob! He knows me so well!

Although I love the new pup, which I named Foxy (because she's the color of a fox and has two white mittens on her front paws), Kori hates her. Foxy kept trying to lay in the lap of Kori and Kori was not having it! And as soon as Kori started crying, Foxy would lick her face and make her cry even more. It was sad and cute at the same time. Here's some pics...

Before Foxy came to sit by her...

Kori, thinking Foxy is too close...

Kori hating that Foxy is all up in her personal space...

Kori, after Foxy moved away because of her crying!

Foxy looking all sad after Kori dissed her...

So cute!

Stats for Kori!

On Friday it was Kori's 6 month Check-up at the doctors. She weighed in at 18 lb 1.6 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long. She only gained 2 pounds and grew one inch since her last appointment, but she is still in the 90th percentile for her age. She's our healthy little girl! She also received her next set of immunizations and was a trooper. She cried when she got them, but as soon as I picked her up she stopped crying. :)

She's also said her first word, eventhough I don't think she knows what the word means. She says "da-da" sometimes. I would like to think she's just babbling, but Jacob of course says it's her first word. So, I guess I have to agree and face the fact that it wasn't "ma-ma" instead.

She also likes to make raspberries with her lips. She does it a lot and I have a video of me trying to get her to do it again, but she went camera shy...if you call smiling at the camera the whole time camera shy.

Next thing on her list is Ear Piercing! Stay tuned...

My Baby is 6 months old...

My how the time flies! It just seems like yesterday that I was trying
to push this little girl out! Kori has been a blessing in Jacob's and my life.
We can't seem to remember what it was like without her. We feel truly blessed that she is part of our family and we hope we can help her know how much she is loved.
We are overwhelmed with love for you Kori.
We hope you know that.
Love always,
Your Parents
