Aquarium of the Pacific

Last Friday we had the opportunity to take my sister Emily and her husband Doug down to Long Beach. They were leaving on a Cruise to Ensenada. Anywho, they asked us if we could take them since we'd been down there before. Well, after we dropped them off we decided to hang out down there. At first we were going to take a tour of the Queen Mary, but we decided against that because the Aquarium of the Pacific was right up the street! Yay! I had been wanting to go there for quite a while now. So we decided to go. It was a nice little aquarium with a bunch of different fish everywhere. We got to pet jellyfish, sharks, and a type of ray (I don't remember what kind if was, oh well). It was a nice little trip. Sorry about the pics! They were with my phone camera and didn't come out very well...

Me petting the jellyfish...just like Finding Nemo, only on the top...

Jacob and Kori (Kori loved all of the fish, she kept pointing and talking to them!) The other pic is of the sharks and rays we were able to pet. Jacob was chicken at first, but I convinced him that he needed to.

The ray we were able to pet, and the shark we pet also! Just kidding! They were in a separate tank next to the petting tank...

The pic on the left is still the shark tank. It had a bunch of different kind of sharks in it. It was cool looking. The other pics are the birds that everyone was able to feed. The were cool looking and very friendly (as long as you had the sweet nectar!)

All in all it was a fun adventure. Now I can say I've been there.

Soaking up the Sun

The other day we went over to Jacob's dad's house and went for a swim! It was Kori's first time in a floatie all by herself! She had tons of fun! A natural swimmer, just like mommy! (Ya right!)

Camp Out!

Recently my sister Sara asked if I wanted to go with her and my dad on a little overnighter. And of course I said yes! Here's Kori on our way out to go camping...she's all smiles.

It was Kori's first night in a tent. And to top it off a slumber party with her cousins, Ben & Elizabeth. When we first got there we all set up camp...but of course kids will be kids. Ben in the first 5 minutes of arriving...so cute!

Here's dad settin' up camp...

Elizabeth and Kori chillin'...

Here's some pic of us hanging out...

Kori the morning after her first night in the tent...mind you, it's 5:45 in the morning here! She loved having her cousins there to keep her company...

After eating her breakfast....

Aunt Sara had bought a chair for Ben, but it was a perfect fit for Kori! She looks huge in this chair...even though the chair is small.

Mommy and Kori messin' around!

Dad & Sara having fun!

The group.

And as soon as all was said and done, Kori was knocked out within 2 minutes of us driving away from the campsite. Seriously....we were still in the campground when she fell asleep. Too precious!

We'll have more to come!

Read, Read, Read...

So every night before going to bed, Kori gets to read a book. She loves her books...especially this foam book she got from Uncle Doug and Auntie Emily. It's called Baby Animals.

And every time she reads it, she gives each animal a good-night kiss and laughs!

She's so cute when she does it. Here's her reading her book with daddy...

 So Cute!
